The board of Holy consists of: Emile Fallaux, former editor in chief of Vrij Nederland, former director of the International Filmfestival Rotterdam, Tjeerd Overdijk, lawyer intellectual property and IT, Steinhauser Hogenraad advocaten and Merel Mirage, initiator of the Holy Animation platform.

Merel graduated cum laude at the Kunsthochschyle für Medien in Cologne. A central aspect in her work concerns establishing communication means between different cultures. The Holy Platform is the most recent example of this. Merel is a pioneer on the terrain of new media. Already in 1994 she integrated the Internet in her art works. 

Merel created media instilations, video's and initiates Internet projects. Her work has frequently been exhibited, for instance at the Stedelijk Museum and the Bíennale at Venice. She has won several awards.
